Batch no.4. Definitely a solid barrel aged and fruited wild ale. Tart, fruit, funk, and barrel were in balance. My Untappd has full review with picture. @c b

batch 4, in the little cork and cage bottle with the new clear labels, called goldenberry wild on mine, but i am assuming the same beer, a fully wild and funky saison type, tart and puckery, done with golden raspberries, another brilliant and mature wild beer from these guys in this format that approaches lambic in terms of complexity and fermentation profile, impressively good and honestly reasonably priced for the quality! the aroma of this is incredible, even not having eaten a ton of golden raspberries in my life, i can smell and appreciate them here, floral and somewhat more delicate than a red raspberry, but super well integrated into this. tons of wood and funk too, an obvious piquant bacterial acidity, some citrus, white wine, and musty wildness about it, really appealing and very much a lambic vibe. the flavor is just as good and just as complex, kumquat, tangerine, raspberry, white currant, even cranberry, some fuller wheat malt and a little balancing sweetness there, massive woodiness, vanilla nuance, and oak tannins, mellowing the sourness but also seemingly concentrating the flavors. this starts out sharp, like its not a finishing pucker, its right up front, and then the fruit comes through the middle, finally the fermentation really comes on late, betty and well developed, unique to these guys too, maybe a bit more acidic than the others i have had from them, but overall this is awesome. the carbonation rushes and stays too, and this warms up super nicely. small format seems perfect for this, and it was an awesome weekday treat to myself last night. stoked to try a few more of these in this series, the shelf where i often shop is packed with them!

32oz insulated growler filled at CaskCades yesterday (part of this was drunk yesterday).
Pours clear golden with no head today, but it had a little yesterday. Smell is tart lemon and nectarine or peach or apricot.
Taste is very tart, lemony, less of the stonefruit, but still a little there.
Mouthfeel is light, dry, smooth. Overall, very good.

On tap at The Beermongers.
Clear light amber, no head. Nose is muted with some raspberry, vanilla and light funk. A touch of seed character is present as well. The palate, though, is a joyous expression of golden raspberries. Bright, fruity, juicy, crisp, clean juicy and just a little jammy, this is brilliant. Drying, tart, on the finish with a bright fruity taste. Sourness is a little much, but apart from that, this is excellent.
