Bottle number 53 of 154. Bought it at the brewery on Zwanze Day, if I remember correctly.

Pours a brownish red with a small head and not much carbonation. Smell is vaguely cherry, fruity, and sweet tart.

Taste is tart and cherry, some other fruit notes, with a surprising and kind of refreshing fruit skin type of bitterness.

Mouthfeel is dry and light, but a little too flat. Overall, I like this beer.

a really unique beer right here, enormously complex, a wild beer, but maybe a lager from what others were saying, i could not confirm that, so listed it as a wild ale here, as brett is by far the dominant yeast character in this one, ale or lager. its a copper colored beer, frothy from the tap and fancy looking. brewed with cascara and cherries, aged in oak, and fully funky as well as hoppy too, this is beyond interesting to my senses. i smell some sweet toasted grains from the malt, the mature funky brett and wood right behind it, and that coffee tea complex from the cascara, fragrant, bitter, and even fruity to me with the sweet cherry note in here. light citrus from the hops too, almost an overwhelming amount going on in the aroma, but it comes together in such an appetizing way. the flavor is awesome too, tons of brett on this, with the cascara coming second. the funk has a musty mature vibe, but also some fall fruitiness like red apple and peach, and these go great with the berry notes and the coffee flavor in the cascara, as well as the cherries, the union here is amazing. effervescent on the feel, lighter drinking than it looks, and shockingly cohesive for how much is happening in it. hoppy bitterness with cascara bitter earthiness to finish, offset by a little sweet oak and the lingering cherry note. really enlightening beer, special stuff from a brewery that i cant wait to discover more from. this was absolutely one of a kind!
