L: Pours a cloudy raspberry pinkish red, with a small pink head that dissipates rather quickly and leaves no lacing on the glass.
S: Notes of sweet raspberry and some blackberry, a bit of blueberry, with a hint of tartness in the background, The fruit is forefront, I don't get a lot from the malt, or yeast.
T: Tart raspberry, sweet berry, some blackberry and blueberry, has some tartness but not overwhelming. Once again it is mostly the berries, don't get a lot of yeast or malt.
F: Prickly carbonation, light to medium body.
O: This is a solid fruit beer, but pretty one note.

So this is a different sort of beer and while it is listed as a saison ale, don't expect it to be very beer like. My bottle was labeled with a batch number 2.
Poured in a pint glass, this beer is strickingly red. Think cranberry cocktail red, thinner red than red wine.
Aroma was one note and that was berry... I assume a tayberry, but I have never had one so who knows.
Taste was very good so long as you aren't craving a beer flavor. Crisp, dry and sour with very forward berry flavor with wood (oak) on the back.
Very enjoyable but don't think beer. Great for those who like cider or malt but want a more sophisticated drink. Great for fans of saison and sours.
