Clear amber with fine-grained foam in the Stella Artois goblet. Quite aromatic with grain and green melon. Sudsy and lush on the tongue. Taste is a little sweet and quite fruity with ripe honeydew and a sweet lemon finish. This is so mellow and fruity for a Lager, but I find it refreshing and delicious. You could call it an IPL since it's plenty hoppy and not at all dry. I call it a new favorite and I hope E-9 will do more with this style. From the 16 oz can, no apparent date. Purchased at Elizabeth Station.

a very modern dry hopped pale lager here, the latest from these guys to show up in idaho, bordering on an india pale lager with some significant bitterness and more hops than yeast or grain in the finish for sure, but great balance and drinkability overall, these guys make a ton of different lagers and all of them are good. the hops have a decided spiciness about them and some citrus too, not overdone, but real fresh, highly aromatic, and boldly flavored. start to finish too, not just all at the end, lime and grass and green tea and a bit of pine too. a european pils sort of malt taste to this, but also a little sweeter and richer than just that on its own, a bigger cereal element, needed to counterbalance all the hops, and its done in a delicate way overall, not a malty or heavy lager in any way at all, and the ferment is super clean, this is crisp and snappy and refreshing with just the hops there on the tongue at the swallow. really bubbly, rushing carbonation, makes this thirst quenching for being so much more than a yellow lager. i like this recipe a lot, and have been higher and higher on the style of late, should have gotten a four pack instead of just the single. i will know for next time! these guys continue to kill it.
