Our OG Lager here at Torch & Crown is back, and we mean it when we say it's better than ever. A light-bodied, crisp, beautifully balanced lager.

From a Beer Club can. Pours a foamy yellow it's a nice combination of smooth and hoppy. Kind of a pale lager. I wish this were available locally. Good stuff.

Was looking for something new in Brooklyn store. Told the guy I was not a big fan of hoppy beer. He told me this was one of his favorites (although a hop guy) I trusted him. Very tasty. The hops actually give it an interesting flavor. Hops as they should be, behaving

16 oz can. Pours golden with long lasting, foamy white head. Aroma is of floral hops, some citrus and biscuit malt. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Herbal hops, biscuit malt and some sunflower seeds fill the mouth. Finish is long and very dry. OK brew.

16oz can from Half Time . Pale straw color with a light haze, small foamy head. Light grainy aroma, straw, grass. Taste adds a little lemon, sweet, slick, oily. Finishes with a light tingle on the palate.

This one pours a mildly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head and lots of lacing.

This smells like grassy hops, strawberry, biscuity malt, and some sweetness.

This is incredibly crisp tasting, with a nice berry sweetness, and some grassy bitterness on the back end. There’s not a lot of malt complexity - it’s definitely a pale ale in lager disguise. Despite that, it’s very tasty.

This is very light and very crisp, with a great drinkability to it.

I definitely can dig on interesting hoppy lagers. I want to try more from Torch and Crown.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of white bubbles covering the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of currant berries are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has stronger flavors of blackcurrants and redcurrant.
M: It feels medium-bodied and clean on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer does a very nice job at showcasing the aromas and flavors of the Barbe Rouge hops. It has the drinkability of a lawnmower beer with the sophistication of an IPA.
