Bestbir seems to be a line of beers from Staropolski using the same riotously voluptuous beer-maiden (pretty, too since it is a painted branding.) I say "seems" because a Bestbir was entered a last year as "Kokos" which I presume to be coconuts in Polish (a totally inaccessible language to me.)

Language and voluptuousness aside, Staropolski's motto on this label is "not shandy, not radler, a real beer with juice." Well, nice try for positioning this one as different. But, Pacific Grapefruit reminds me of many shandys and certainly is a lot like grapefruit radlers. While Staropolski's rendition is refreshing and worth having (if you can find it as I did at Binny's Lincoln Park), its primary contribution to beerdom is the girl on the label.

I wish them well.
