Appearance: deep copper to brown ..
Chocolate Note. SRM is in the neighborhood of a 23
Flavor: Munich malt aparent sweetness caramel and nut...
Turns to semi sweet chocolate chips...
Noble hops not grassy not Hallertau... Not sure the hop... Subtle... But stops ... Rather complex but but still clean....
Deep malt... Well done... Just a hint of citrus maybe orange... I mean this looks good tastes good smells good.. Just really balanced. I wonder if there's some crystal malt 40 or if they're using a decoction mash technique with that Munich malt... In any case there's some noticeable enhancement In the malt... Layering a subtle sweetness... And not at allgrainy
Mouthfeel:
Body is medium to full... Carbonation is a little bit on the low side but appropriate for style...
Overall:
A very clean malt finish.. bitterness is subtle but present.. I keep coming back to that sweetness not cloying at all.. refreshing but... A lingering malt maybe toffee note suggested with that initial chocolate

Pint can - no date (couple months old) - poured into a willi better at 40°F.
Pours a crystal clear deep copper hue, topped with three fingers of very light tan, rocky head with excellent retention, leaving some lacing as it recedes.
Nose: Malty and nutty, with notes of toasty bread crust, toasted grain, dough, and toffee. A hint of lemon peel, and some grassy, spicy hops, along with some potpourri. 4.0
Toasty, malty, and nutty, with bread crust, malted milk, sweet crystal malt, water cracker, and burned toffee. Big malty amber notes, but the backbone remains fairly dry overall, with some nice minerality, and a touch of lemony brightness. The hops emerge towards the finish - rather prominent, with big, spicy and floral leafy notes, and a bit of earthiness. Some resinous bitterness unfurls, and lingers into the finish.
Mouthfeel/Body: Medium-light in body, with a typical Munich-style lager crispness paired with some fuller malty heft. Malty, but minimal sweetness, with a fairly dry delivery. Lively, slightly coarse effervescence lends lift, and the finish is fairly resinous and digging.
Overall: I've noticed many domestic examples of this style where the combination of minerality in the water, and those spicy German hops pair to create this metallic note. I notice a whisper of it here, but it doesn't bother me, and aside from that, I think this is a very well made beer. The malt profile is brilliant, and that balance betwren hearty and crisp is great. Ever-so-slightly heavy on the hops in the finish, but all-in-all, it's a cohesive, fluid, and enjoyable representation of a difficult style to master.

Can courtesy of SierraNevallagash. Pretty spot-on for style.
However a bit of an off-flavor, maybe Iodine or metallic?
Knocks it down a few points.
Doesn’t wreck it though.
