Appearance: Poured pitch black with no head presentation.
Smell: Instantly pick up marshmallows and graham cracker with hints of cocoa. Little bourbon on the side, just slightly overwhelmed by the heavy marshmallows.
Taste: Taste like smores; it has all its elements: marshmallows, graham cracker, and chocolate. The best part is, nothing taste artificial. It's sweet and decadent. The rye adds a little more depth to this barrel-aged version. There is warmth and a touch of caramel sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Very thick and full bodied. Impressively smooth.
Overall: for a "s'mores" stout, this might honestly be the best I have tasted. It's sweet but not too sweet. Very smooth and easy to drink but also a great beer to share with a friend.
