Had on tap at the brewery. Pours hazy, orange/tan in color with one third inch head. Taste is big balsamic vinegar, toasted malt, sandalwood, and sour mix. Light bodied, high carbonation, sour. The sour mix leaves a pleasant tingle in mouth. An odd beer but it works very well. Liking this even more than I thought I would. Really enjoying the creativity. One per session is probably enough but I would get this again.

Really good sour. If you told me this was imported from Belgium, I would believe it Poured from a 12.7 oz corked and caged bottle into a tulip glass. Practically no head, it dissipates before it even covers the top of the glass. Murky dark reddish brown color. Things pick up after that!!!! The nose is wonderful. Moderate vinegar sourness, plenty of vinuous odor from the wine barrels and some dark fruit...plums, raisins..maybe figs. Good Belgian aromas!!!!! Taste was even better. There is a bit of sweetness to go along with the bitter sourness. I don't know whether that is fruit or the Balsamic vinegar, but it is very inviting. Mouthfeel is rich, crisp. moderately sour with a little sweetness added. I had it with cheese and crackers and it was a perfect blend. A very good beer!!!!

Not much carbonation, but that's OK to style. Dark amber like a rich, single varietal honey. Malty, slightly acetic nose. Perfect balance of acids. Hits the throat in the right place. Oaky and dry, but there's a hint of the balsamic sweetness on the lips and in the throat. Wonderfully balanced.
