Got in a BIF from FBarber. 16 ounce can into IPA glass, canned on 3/3/2022. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing on the glass and moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big lemon, apple, cracker, toast, biscuit, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, citrus rind, and pine. Supremely clean nose with no yeasty notes at all. Moderate pine, herbal, woody, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and crisp/clean/refreshing finish. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins and lingering dryness with minimal astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors. Minimal warming 5.8%. A bit darker than expected on the pour, looks and feels like more of a Dortmunder than American style. An amazingly well crafted lager. It doesn't get much cleaner than this.

l: semitransparent copper. foamy white 1 finger head quickly recedes to a thin layer. nice lacing.
s: bready malts. caramel.
t: follows from the aroma with breadiness and caramel. slight hoppy bitterness. touch of sweetness lingers on the finish.
f: medium carbonation. medium mouthfeel.
o: a collaboration between two quality breweries in IL. And a lager to boot? Love it. An enjoyable beer to drink.

Canned 3/3/22; drank 3/13/22 @ the Yarchives.
See-through golden appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice, noisy eggshell head; strong, frothy lace.
Dry leaves & faint caramel notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Dry leaves & faint caramel flavors up front; faint hop bite on the finish.
Mild & pleasant, but not overly memorable.
