a flavorful and robust corn based lager thats both ancient and modern at the same time. its stronger for a simple pale lager, and the hop bitterness is significant too, at least for the style, so this has one foot in the past and one in the present. its lighter than golden but more shiny than yellow, clear enough, and with an inch of white head from the tap that settles back pretty fast, this stays fizzy to drink though. some light sweetness in aroma and flavor, not corn specific, but thats what it must be from, a little kiss of a honey thing to it as well, even slightly floral there, but very simple, some pils malt also likely. its not quite one dimensional since the hops are there, but its no real interesting either, more bitterness than flavor from the hops, maybe slightly grassy late, and not a ton from the grain beyond the thin sweetness, its simple in a good way, hearty, wholesome even, and i like it. the carbonation is nice, the higher alcohol cannot be detected, and i think this one is probably their most accessible and mass appeal offering on the menu, should be a total crowd pleaser for them. they had quite a few different lagers here on a rather impressive beer list!
