Had in the taproom at The Beer Temple; poured from a bag contained in a box. (A novel delivery for me for an ale; perhaps had wine from a plastic bag in the previous century.) Which gives me a segue to a micro-review for Primitive... as I like the experimentation that is smart as opposed to extreme as too often the case. Primitive decided their market niche is open-minded enough for a plastic bag, because what the market wants is a micro true to the Lambic tradition. And Primitive seems to be very much true to that tradition and dedicated to it. Plus, their taproom has many guest taps... which I always admire. Family-owner, locally-sourced, Primitive hits many buttons. So I give them very high Overall Hugs for a 4-year old youngster.
As for Ghost Town... a nice tart. Balanced from nose to finish; no surprises, no funky extremes. Just a solid interpretation of this unique tradition.

A lovely summer drinking still geuze. The flavour is just funky and tart enough to make it interesting to drink. Thanks Jason B. for sending this 1.5 litre bag in a box.
