The newest addition to our “Bière De CouPêche” series, SuperMoon SuperFriends is a blend of three-year mature Primitive Beer rested on White Peaches in freshly emptied Reposado Tequila casks blended in equal parts with Wine Barrel Aged Hop-Bursted Brett Pale Ale from Cellar West’s barrel stock. The result is a flavor confluence of soft peach nectar, ripe pineapple, earthy agave, structured bitterness and restrained acidity, balancing the house cultures that we’ve come to know and love from all entities involved.

The pour begins with a clean gold pour that produces a small ring of foam and tiny carbonation bubbles. The smell is earthy, funky and tart. The taste is subtle tartness with peach flesh, grape must, earthy/wood notes and a hint of tequila in the finish. A subtle tart and dry feel.

Overall? This collaboration between Primitive Beer, Cellar West and Romero's K-9 Club hit a home run in my opinion. Big complex taste in a subtle drinking beer with a abv. of 8%. How'd they pull it off? Dunno but it works!
