Pouring a cold 16 oz can into my large weiss glass. I picked this up at the brewery a few months ago, and this can has been in my fridge since then. The beer is open fermented and is brewed with sea salt.
the beer pours a bright, light clear gold color, looks very similar to champagne. VERY active carbonation streams rise to the surface. Both large bubbles and streams of very small ones. A creamy bleached white head of 2 cm foams up from my gentle pour and fades to a thin surface layer within a few minutes of this sampling.
The aroma on this beer is some bready and crackery malt with a bit of doughy yeast and some light spices with cloves and black pepper mixing. I also get a little bit of straw or hay on the nose.
The first sip reveals a crisp texture with fine and sharp carbonation. Body is very light and thin and the beer drinks super easy. Creates a lot of burps though.
FLavor is cracker malt with some straw or hay and some light lemon on the finish. I maybe get a little bit of salt in the flavor profile. The beer does finish very dry and a lingering peppery flavor sticks around.
this is a great summer beer and is very easy to drink. Not one of my more regular styles but this one seems to be well made and I would recommend saison hunters check this place out.
