10oz. Pours at Westside Taphouse in West Salem OR
$5
Poured a slightly frosty amber. Small lacey white head.
Nice English malt and hop profile in the aromas.
Taste similar but really had a more American profile as it goes on
Mouth feel is very nice.
A nice ESB.

Look: Clear amber-red with a decent off-white head that recedes leaving good lacing
Aroma: Toffee, floral and earthy hops, tons of fruity esters, bready malts, and some candi sugar
Taste: Fruity, floral, earthy and toffee explode onto the palate up front. Bready notes come to join along with more fruitiness which leads to some sweetness before closing with hop notes. Slight hop bite near the end as well – great balance of flavor
Mouthfeel: Silky and smooth, medium-high carbonation and not at all dry on the finish
Overall: This is awesome stuff. A really well done ESB and a great take on an American-brewed version – one of my favorite styles. I’ve always been impressed with Ex Novo’s non-IPA offerings so gave this a go on that alone and am glad I did. Tasty collab and also makes me want to dive into more of Upright’s lineup. A winner
