Can from Uptown Market.
A clear orange with a dense, white head with decent retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose has everything I love about Special Herbs. It's wild, its gin forward, it's botanical, it's tart, it's fruity, it's floral - an exquisite statement of vision and intent. That's until the other beers that make the blend come in, with a grainy, mildly cereal like, with a vague funk that's present. The palate, thankfully, is mostly Special Herbs (but not enough), with a blend of orange peel, floral, spicy notes, juniper, calendula flowers, lemon, floral honey. Mild sweetness. Grainy and cereal like towards the finish. Medium light in body and moderately carbonated. Quite excellent.
