Just shy of two fingers worth of active medium khaki colored froth... Rock solid retention... Loaded with tons of swirling carbonation... Color is a light to medium golden caramel... Nose is of slightly sweet caramel and dark bread crust along with some cereal grains... Flavor profile is sweeter some some dark fruit notes mixed in but it never becomes cloying... Feel is on the fuller side of medium bodied... Ridiculously rich and lush with a velvety smoothness... Outstanding beer and one that I wish I had regular access to... Stellar across the board...

Look: Rich blood red in the glass and my pour kicks off a voluptuous off-white head that swells and slowly settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly baked bread, raw dough, dried dark fruit notes, light floral hops, caramel, and some sweetness
Taste: Starts off with bread and a whole lot of it; warm bread, proofing dough, and toasted crust, all in the fold and they begin to intermingle and deepen immediately. Light dried dark fruit and floral hops peek in from time to time but this is, and should be, a malt bomb through and through
Mouthfeel: Full, smooth, clean, medium-high carbonation, and a smooth and soft finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. I love what these folks do and Doppelbocks are one of my favorite cold-weather beers so an easy pick-up for me and wasn’t disappointed at all. Tons of rich malty goodness throughout with just a touch of dried dark fruit and floral hops, which I liked as sometimes the dark fruit part overwhelms the rest. Delicious and recommended

A pretty beer. Clear cherry amber color, small tan head.
Sweet malt aroma, grassy hops.
Taste of toasted bread, a little toffee. Late hops.
Medium bodied, very drinkable.
