Pours a hazy, amber color with a huge, fluffy, very stable white head.

Smells of hay, wet grass and white bread dough, with just a sugary hint to the otherwise pleasantly hearthy nose.

Drinks great! Smooth, soft and refreshing, fuller bodied than expected with a dry finish to it, enriching the hay softness.

Tastes of hay with a strawy wheat sweetness, grainy and rustic, together with soft white bread dough, which makes the beer go down incredibly easy. Cake malts get a little more pronounced then, challenged by a late, dry leaf quality, amped up by an effervescent carbonation.

This is by far the best beer from Krombacher I've had, and actually the first one I like. It is a perfect example of a Keller with a nice, hoppy edge to its otherwise rustic malt flavor foundation. And its mouthfeel is world class, making this a stand out for its style.
