On tap at Das Biergarten. Hazy golden. Smells of bready malt, some floral and grassy hops, and a little bit of a sharp component. Tastes of mostly bready with some floral and doughy outcroppings. Back end is Pilsner malt and a clean, if bland, finish. Soft and light body. It's fine, but it's not all that flavorful.

Damp 29/4 2018. 33 cl bottle from Edeka, Damp. Brown serious looking label signed by Manfred Schmidt. Does not get anymore German than this.

Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with small white head. Settles as 0,3 cm thick layer of foam. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is fairly weak. Sweetish malts and light caramel.

Light carbonation and thin and watery texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by light but pleasant bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish and short.

Solid Kellerbier without much hops and bitterness and all that Modern stuff.

Drank out of necessity due to hunger and heat, I had this in Nürnberg. Not my style, but the lack of brilliant IPAs and bourbon barrel-aged stouts (or the like) around these parts, forced my turn to local beer.
Poured into a stein, so not much on the visual but the nose and body had nice bread, malt and hoppy mix that suited the occasion.
Would never drink it back in Toronto, but here I give it a thumb up for its thirst crunching ability at least.

Pours a cloudy, dark golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of doughy, grainy malt and grassy hops, with just a hint of herbs and spice. Taste follows the nose, with a decent balance of doughy, grainy, slightly toasted malt and grassy, slightly herbal and floral hops, with hints of herbs and spice also coming through. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some grainy mal, grassy hops and a certain mineral presence lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This really isn't too bad for a Krombacher offering, certainly better than their Pilsner. There's a decent balance of doughy, grainy malt and grassy, herbal hops to this, although it doesn't feel quite as laid back and soft in taste as I expect from the style, with a certain mineral presence in the aftertaste that I could do without, but seems familiar from their Pils.I think this really benefits from being unfiltered, lending a more rustic feel to it compared to their PIlsner, but I've certainly had far better Kellerbiers.

On tap at Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Hazy golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma and flavour of herbal German hops, sufficient malts throughout. Decent Kellerbier, might well drink again.

I had it from tap at Trinkteufel in Berlin, Germany. Pours with an amber color and gives some grassy smells
stable white head and sweet, bready notes. Average carbonation.
smooth and soft experience with a full body and dry finish

De Mercadona. En copa Teku. Jugando a Hollow Knight. Correcta, con agradable sabor a malta y muy bebible. Sin embargo, le falta algo falta de caracter, que le de alegria, resultando algo aburrida

Had on tap. Dark and cloudy gold body with two fingers of foam. Smell features toast, malts, herbal hops, orange zest and grains, but sharply so. Taste I thought was pretty good, has nice honey to go with breadiness, grass to go with herbs, grains slightly toasted, and some lingering fruit zests. Feel is crisp, fuller than expected, but really a beer that opened up on tap

Typical average stuff from Krombacher.
I just expect more hoppiness and malt dominance from a Kellerbier.

(0.5 L branded glass mug vom fass at Brauhaus Schmitz)

Good sponge of foam atop a moderately hazy golden liquid, tinges of orange... malty, doughy up front; grassy, flowery midway through into the finish... a few sips in, it becomes apparent there's a fairly prominent bubblegum ester in the mix... by halfway through, it sort of tastes like a 'powdery' malt liquor - not a bad thing in itself, but just a little odd or off in having it as a dominant character... I think what I'm saying is this tasted like an unfiltered (German-style) malt liquor, or rather like an unfiltered Bitburger-style pils... I happened to enjoy it for what it was, the price was right, it drank beautifully, but that bubblegum element is a bit of a distraction - not what I look for in this style
