Formerly known as Triple Lime Lager
Made with three types of limes to achieve a complex and deep, true lime flavour! No artificial or natural flavour — just real fruit. Light bodied, dry, and extra thirst-quenching.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a pint glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Best before January 1/26. My sixth beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and fourth for 2025. It was so impressive that it even distracted Gracie the cat from eating...

473 mL can from the LCBO; no canning date and served slightly chilled. Labelled simply as "Lime Lager", but it does include three different types of limes: Key Lime, Persian Lime and Sudachi lime juice.
Pours a foggy pale straw yellow colour, topped with less than a finger of loose, soapy white head. It collapses within a couple of minutes, scattering some messy lace about as it's reduced to a frothy collar and filmy cap. Grainy, doughy malts and white tortilla on the nose, with hints of lime zest and juice; sniffing directly from the can concentrates it somewhat, but for a "triple lime" lager? It's an oddly understated presence.
Pretty good, and I particularly enjoy the aftertaste. Early on, the base lager shines through: clean, grainy malts and white tortilla, with a mild nip of sour lime juice also discernible. The lime builds from there, but it's peel that begins to dominate later in the sip, culminating with a malty finish and a subtly astringent citrus peel note that lasts well beyond the conclusion of the sip. Light in body, with gentle carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel; fantastic drinkability.
Final Grade: 3.84, a B+. Lime lagers generally make for a boring, albeit inoffensive review, but I've gotta give kudos to Avling's Triple Lime Lager for managing to keep me interested for the duration of the glass. I'll also commend the fact that they used real limes (and juice), not flavourings or concentrates. Perhaps that's why the aroma was less fragrant than I'd hoped - either way, I'd say it's a net positive, because this brew is unique from practically every other lime lager I've tried to date. This is a no-brainer if you appreciate lime beers, but also worth trying if you've turned your nose up at them in the past.
