16 oz canned 12- - 23, opened 2-2-24.
Bright yellow gold body with great clarity (decanted pour).
2 finger white head with very good retention. Early lace and the head sits solid at 1/4".
Vivid nose full of hop aromas - tropical, berry, citrus are all represented.
Ripe berry flavor along with some lime and melon and a lightly gritty malt backing.
Light body, carbonation is appropriate, medium length and dry finish.
Very Good.

Picked up a four pack of pint cans. Date on can: 07/12/24.
Pours a hazy, juicy golden in color with a half inch of creamy head on top that dissipates rather quickly to a thin layer of lacing which coats the glass as you drink. Carbonation looks below average with a few bubbles rising up. Looks refreshing.
Mmm, really loving the aroma here. Lots of orange and grapefruit along with some melon, berries and pine and a lovely, buttery maltiness underneath. Smells quite fresh, even almost four months out.
Taste follows the nose very well. You get buttery, toffee maltiness throughout with lots of grapefruit, orange and papaya hoppiness. Some pine resin dankness comes in towards the swallow and lingers into the aftertaste, along with the aforementioned blend of malts and hops. A well balanced IPA.
This one is medium bodied with moderate carbonation that prickles the tongue and provides some zest on the swallow. Finishes fairly crisp and dry. There's a bit of substance here, but I wouldn't call it creamy -- perhaps oily. Not exactly the ideal carbonation profile for me as it feels a touch thin and mineral watery. But it doesn't turn me off, either. Drinks very smooth and is quite refreshing.
This is really good stuff. As my entry beer to this brewery I am now intrigued to try out more of their offerings. I had not seen the description for this one prior to purchasing, but it does feel like a blend of old and new -- which is to say, a mix of a more West Coast IPA and a New England IPA; juicy, citrusy and slightly hazy, but also a touch of pine and a lovely malt balance. Mosaic is a very complex and flavorful hop and it shines big here in cryo form. Kind of the best of both worlds. I'd happily drink this again. Cheers!

16 oz tall boy, into a nonic pint glass
Classic straw-yellow ale appearance. Notes of ripe apple and honeyed malts in the bouquet. On the palate flavors border on dank mango notes and ripe apple. Medium finish, amply carbonated.
Interesting having cryo hops in a west coast style IPA. Definitely a unique flavor profile, with this apple-pine-tropical aspect, but it works.

Wow what a beer! This is like no other IPA I have had. Not as bitter as a WCIPA, not as hazy as a NEIPA, but it is hoppy and has an awesome aroma. I will be buying this in the future for sure! Poured from a cold 16oz 1 month old can into an IPA glass, it produced a good sized head and emitted a nice bouquet. :)

16oz can from Homebrew stuff. Golden pour with love that cloudiness, patchy head, ring of white foam. Light hoppy aroma with caramel notes. Taste is malty, dry, soft hoppy kick up front.

Price: $3.49
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Jan. 28, 2021
Consumed: Feb. 4, 2021
Misc.: Jan. 12, 2021
Grabbed a can of this and a host of others on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Online description to this read “India Pale Whale is a blend of old and new, Dry hopped with Mosaic Cryo, Simcoe, & Chinook this beer hits both tropical and dank. Some new school Mosaic cryo and some old school Chinook balance to create an extremely aromatic and crushable pale ale.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy off-white head, which thinned out quickly. Could see some bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Decent watery lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Definitely a West Coast IPA on the nose. Got Mosaic, Simcoe, floral, mango, Juicy Fruit, tangerine rind, papaya, caramel malt and dank pine. Just as good out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose. In order got trashy Mosaic, Simcoe, black pepper, garlic, floral, mango, tangerine rind, papaya, pine, dank resin, woody Chinook and caramel malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, bitter, spicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Outstanding for a West Coast IPA. Liked this one. (Overall - 4.00)
