Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American Light Lager
Glass: Clear 16-oz. Bruges beer glass
Price: $3.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 13, 2021
Consumed: Oct. 27, 2021
Misc.: Canned on July 28, 2021
Grabbed this a bunch of other stuff on a recent trip to Windmill Farms. Untappd description was “This crusher is brewed with heirloom malts from our friends at Mecca Grade. All hype ingredients, for a no-hype style.”
Poured a medium yellow clear color with one fingers of frothy-to-fizzy off-white head, which dissipated quickly. Could see some slow-moving bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Below average watery lacing. Poor retention. (Sight - 3.00)
Smelled corn, skunky malt, grain, spoiled fruit and hints of Cheerios. Not too appealing initially. Didn’t’ really get much better as it went down. Just a little better out of the can. (Smell - 3.00)
Tasted a little better than the nose but nothing I’d write home about. Kind of reminded of the lagers/pilsners I used to get at Trader Joe’s, that 6-pack for like $4.99. In order got corn, sweet grain, spoiled fruit, pear, apple, honey and hints of Cheerios. (Taste - 3.25)
Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, crisp finish. (Feel - 3.50)
Just not a good beer. I’m pretty sure I overrated it too. Shocked that this would make it to stores. (Overall - 3.25)

Like taking a stroll at midnight, this one is nice n light. Yeah, you know when Raul is just feeling it after a good one and he rolls out to smell that nighttime jasmine and take everything all in. Life is… well, sometimes it’s kind of good when you don’t want to contemplate things; to just relax and be… Yeah, Raul is strolling nice and light with this Camp Beer, and he is feeling fine.
