Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (earth) glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in San Diego (Del Cerro), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 12, 2022
Consumed: Oct. 25, 2022
Misc.: Collaboration with Tripping Animals; Canned on Oct. 4, 2022
Went over to Windmill Farms from work and ended up once again spending way too much on beer. Only real description I found was a German-Style Fest Bier.
Poured a deep medium amber-to-light copper clear color with nine fingers of rocky off-white head. Could see plenty of bubbles coming up along the sides and bottom of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled toasted grain, toffee, caramel, wheat bread, biscuit, spice and earthy pilsner malt. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted just as good as the nose. Followed the nose quickly as well. In order got toasted grain, toffee, caramel, wheat bread, biscuit, Czech Saaz, peppery spice and earthy pilsner malt. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively-to-fizzy carbonation. Long, earthy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was really nice. I love it when a brewery can nail a style like this. (Overall - 4.00)

Handsome brew with crystal clear yellow amber topped with long-lasting white suds in the tall IPA glass. Aroma of peach with straw and a hint of green stuff. Delightfully spritzy with the malty body. This tastes nicely fruity to start, with a lingering note of apricot to go with the roasted malt. There's a dab of sugar to warm it up. This is my pick for the best Oktober season brew of 2024. It's malty but tangy, just sweet enough, melts in the mouth, and isn't overly strong. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. I don't see a date but score another goal for Harland!
