Clear golden amber with plenty of foam in the Trappistes Rochefort chalice. Slight beery aroma but enlivened by the fruity hop nose. This has an odd winey note, and more sweetness that is good for it. Quite drinkable but it tastes exactly like a Blonde Ale-- malty and flabby with a touch of astringency. The hoppy aromatics do save it from blandness, however, and the slight hoppy aftertaste if pleasant. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bottlecraft Liberty Station. Canned 01/09/26.

has that malt liquor smell and taste minus most of the alcohol and plus some citrus. Look in the glass is nothing special with a small head and hazy golden color.

Tall can picked up from the local TJs canned on 050525 so pretty darn fresh. Pours like a proper Pilsner with a huge fluffy head. Corn comes through but isn’t unpleasant in a Pilsner as you expect that bit of grain character. Hops surprisingly don’t outshine anything which I figured would happen when I saw NZ. A well-balanced, drinkable Pils. Nice to try.
