Thanks to Coronaeus for this one. NBS BIF #15
16oz can poured into a Becher glass. Can is stampeded EMP 08/04/22.
This is a very pretty beer. Golden in hue, slightly cloudy, and capped by a firm white cap. Great retention and layered lacing.
Nose is both assertive and delicate. Notes of lemon, wet straw, grain, and bread dough.
Flavors follow the nose faithfully. But this one is so cohesive. The grain base is mildly sweet and provides a smooth canvas for the lemon and floral spice note that peeks in. Slight yeastiness pops in as well.
Mouthfeel is light and crisp. Finish is smooth and delicate in its bitterness.
Solid.

16oz can served in a footed pilsner glass. Can is dated EMP 08/04/22. I'm assuming that means canned on April 8th, not best by April 8th or August 4th. But who knows what these wacky Canadians will do. @Coronaeus sent me this beer, probably as part of a LIF in NBS BIF #15.

Pours slightly hazy orange-gold with a really big fluffy head that collapses to thick chunky layer leaving large clots clinging to the sides of the glass. Smell is light, grainy, yeasty dough, a little lemon rind. Strong floral notes.

Taste is interesting. Something delicate -- I think it's more of the floral notes. Lemon rind turns more to a slight orange rind, maybe something orangey-but-not-quite-orange, like kumquat or something. Definite grass and citrus zest hop notes.

Mouthfeel is light, crisp, zesty. Overall, I'm enjoying this a lot.

Courtesy of @coronaeus NBS BIF 15:

Pours a slightly cloud dark gold, head settles into craggly caps of white. Some nice lacing.

Really pleasant rich fresh baked and slightly toasted bread, a touch of a really beautiful floral note. It’s so perfectly subtle yet so obvious really enjoying the smell on this beer.

The taste does not disappoint; it brings all of the above plus a kiss of earthy and I would even say kind of spicey hops on the finish. Awesome.

So clean and easy to drink; all the depth of flavor in this thing instantly vanish after the sip. Making you instantly want the next sip to try and figure out all the taste. A noticeable but tempered bitterness on the finish brings this one home for me.

Can: Poured a dark golden color Kelelrbier with a large slightly offwhite foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with slight caramel and light herbal hops notes. Taste is also a mix of slight caramel and cereal notes with some light herbal notes and dry aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. Enjoyable lager.
