750ml bottle served in a pair of slightly tulippy stemmed wineglasses. Batch number 2, bottled February 2021. Bought it at the brewery in May timeframe.
Pours a fairly clear, fairly dark purplish red. Big flash of head that fades to a thin ring. Smell is berries, jammy, sweet-tartness. Not super aromatic.
Taste is again jammy and berries, variety not recognizable (but that might be because I wouldn't recognize elderberries). Light fruit skin bitterness, light to moderate barnyard funk. Tartness is there but also pretty mild.
Mouthfeel is light, dry, very effervescent. Overall, I like it, but I want it to express more funk or more tart in the flavor.
