Grabbed a few things at Trader Joe’s so grabbed one of these beers as well. Would be my first Brewery X beer that I could recall. A BevMo description for this one was “This Double Hazy IPA is loaded with El Dorado, Motueka, and Mosaic hops that offer huge notes of tropical flavors and citrus aromas.”
Poured a medium yellow-to-light golden hazy color with 5-to-6 fingers of rocky white head. Tons of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at fast speeds, kind of looking like a snow globe. Perfect uneven foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled El Dorado right away, with equal amounts of Mosaic and Motueka following. Specifically got melon, pineapple, pear, stone fruit, lemon candy, floral, bubblegum, mixed berry, lime zest and grass. About as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got El Dorado, Mosaic, pear, pineapple, melon, stone fruit, lemon candy, floral, bubblegum, mixed berry, Motueka, caramel, lime zest, hints of banana, earthy malt, grass and light peppery spice. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A very good first beer from Brewery X for me. (Overall - 3.75)
