Classic copper pour with a tan head and moderate lacing. Smells strongly of toasty malt, some earthy hops, and hints of toast caramel. Taste is much the same, with some delicate hop bitters on the finish and hints of orange zest. Feel is classic for the style, malty up front, some hop bite in the finish, generally earthy and bready, but could be a touch thicker in the maltwork if we are being picky. Nice well rounded lager for any season

Only having Had 4 beers from Casa Humilde, I'm guessing (still) they make better ales than lagers.
But Alba was a nice lager to have with lunch that started off with a toasted corn tortilla with cheese (no hot sauce) and some sour-dough toast smeared with Middle Brow's grilled shishito peppers based in a cream cheese. (A tad spicy, but that went better with their bread than Humilde's blander beer.)
Alba Looks great; nice amber. Smells are malty, but not richly so. Same really for Taste. Feel cleansed the palate in a modest way, letting the lunch work.
Alba probably is best drunk at the District Brew Works while having lunch... which I keep intending to attend, but somehow don't tend to that desire. Hang in there Casa Humilde !
2/6/22 Glad that Casa Humilde is still producing and learning and will soon produce great ales consistently. I'm less inclined to think Alba will make a great Vienna. Perhaps ratchet down the hops a bit and let the malt make me merry... and Humilde might as well give it a new name. As for me, I'm counting over @ UnTappd.
