From my original review 16 months ago, I'm combining that tasting with the today's on 3/25/21 and editing it as I believe Humilde has improved it.
Rarely do I find a porter this good-Looking. The root beer float head eventually goes away and there is a good-looking brunette. Smelling it, I'm struck how the coffee is muted but stays consistent to the end. Tastes are balanced; this style's drawn-out dry and bitter typically comes as much from hops as roasting malts; but Cafecito's coffee somehow helps the balance. Decent in the mouth, medium; but could have its bubbles last longer.
I've now had five from Casa Humilde, all but this was Belgian-inspired. I keep saying I will visit them next year. But in the northside (that is Cubs) tradition, "there always is next year." Hang in there Casa Humilde.
3/25/22 Still haven't visited. But I promise: this is the year ! (But please keep canning just in case.) Counting @ UnTappd.

Pours a dark black with 2 fingers of rootbeer float colored head. Nice lacing, awesome Cuban coffee on the nose. Taste is rich, dry,and a little bitter on the finish. A really nice beer, could use some smoothing out of the finish, maybe chocolate notes to round things out would be good.

Aroma is coffee and chocolate/mild milk chocolate. The flavor is coffee, dark malts, a hint of milk/lactose, chocolate and a big acidic/slightly sweet finish.
