Look: Pale clear yellow, with a one finger tightly bubbled white head. Head is a thin skimming of bubbles after 5 minutes.
Smell: Biscuits, white bread, caramel and sugar.
Taste: Crackers, caramel malts, dry grains. Lingering sweetness (sugary) at the back end. Pretty typical Euro lager profile.
Feel: Lots of carbonation, this left me burping after 1/3rd of a pint. Light to medium body. Plays at the sides of the tongue leaving a syrupy sugar residue at the end.
Not a good value for money. I give it a C

I bought a can at the lcbo in Ontario poured a 1finger into glass and then it disappeared quickly and left no lace and the beer flat .
no brew date on can .
some grains and some malt and sweetness but the taste was nothing special
I bought another can later to try .
Didn't see any brew date or code on can but the 2nd can was more fresh and it did leave a lace as you drink it .
Overall the first can I bought was probably out of date so I had to buy it again to make my review more accurate..
First can I gave it 1.94 pretty sure it was an old beer .
My second can that I bought today was fresh .
Overall an ok strong lager .
Cheers.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no discernible packaging date. Served slightly chilled.
Pours bright and clear, with a sunny golden-yellow coloured body upon which is seated two fingers of foamy, sparkling white head. It rises briefly before receding at a casual pace within the next five minutes or so; an attractive swath of webbed lacing is left behind, as is a fat, frothy collar and thin cap of foam. Looks great, but it doesn't smell a whole lot better than your typical macro lager - there's grainy pale malts, some corny boiled veggie sweetness and maybe a wisp of hay.
The nose was a good lead-in to the first sip - this here is one of the dullest lagers I've had in a while. Grainy pale malts, grassy hay, vegetal sweetness and a touch of cardboard. Medium-ish in body, with carbonation that starts off aggressively spritzy, but exhausts itself quite quickly, resulting in a much smoother, flatter texture by the midpoint of the glass. This beer's strongest feature is that its 6% is much more well-integrated than in most macro strong lagers and/or 'ice' beers, making it far more drinkable than expected.
Final Grade: 3.00, a eking out a C+. Grenadier Premium is a tolerable strong lager, but not much more than that. I don't think APL is a good fit for this one stylistically - the brewery avoids detail so it's absolutely up for debate, but to me it tastes more like a European strong lager (or even a malt liquor) vs. a North American lager. As for the use of the term "premium"? While it's not the first word I'd have picked, it's an ambiguous descriptor, so sure, whatever - at least they didn't have the gall to call it a craft lager. I'd drink this again if it were handed to me, but that's as far as I'll go.

473 ml can served into a pint glass. Part of a Christmas gift. Review from notes in December 2019.
Appearance- Clear medium gold color with a finger plus of white head that fizzles away quickly. Good visible carbonation.
Smell – Grainy with some overdone caramel sweetness. A touch of metal too.
Taste – Grain, some cooked veggies, a little bit of sweetness. Could use a touch more bitterness, but better tasting than smelling.
Mouthfeel – Medium-light bodied, quite heavily carbonated, bordering on gassy, but fits the style pretty well.
Overall – It’s not great but for a euro style lager it’s certainly serviceable and it does hide the extra booze quotient reasonably well.

Pours a nice gold colour with nice head retention. The smell is ok, grainy and cereals come to mind. The taste is similar, nothing great, nothing bad. Mouthfeel again is bubbly enough but a metallic aftertaste lingers. Overall average
