Living in St. Louis, it's great to have a local brew and an alternative to InBev/AB - I am generally a really big fan of Schlafly brew, but this one just doesn't do it for me. I like bitter...as long as a strong flavor follows. This one just kinda seems weak and unfulfilling...like it just didn't get finished properly. I suppose as Lagers go it may well be on par with most, perhaps even above quite a few....but overall, it misses the mark for what I would consider a 'damned good beer'

I bought a bottle of this off the single shelf at Binnys. It poured a hazy yellow with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent is faint biscuit . The taste is nicely balanced and easy to drink. There is grain alcohol presence. The Mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok.

Drinking at 3mo. from bottled on date. Really nice 2 finger head and excellent retention. Body is pale yellow like any macro brew. Really like the smell as well, with nice breadiness, dough and grass. Taste is quite enjoyable and well crafted as well. Nice hop flavorings balanced with some sweetness and full bodied breadiness. Finishes crisp and dry. An excellent made lager. Highly recommend.

L: Straw gold color that is very clear and a small creamy head with no lacing.
S: Sweet cereal malt, a very nice floral spicy hop, a little bit of yeast.
T: Sweet malt and Bready malt. A nice floral spicy hop, some notes of yeast. A tad sweet.
F: Crisp and clean but feels slightly watery.
O: A couple small flaws but a pretty good lager.

Pours a hazy, golden color. 1/4 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of pale malt, hint of yeast, slight wheat, hint of hop, and a hint of sweet malt. Fits the style of an American Pale Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of pale malt, hint of yeast, slight wheat, hint of hop, and a hint of sweet malt. Overall, decent appearance, aroma, body, and blend.

Gold in color with excellent clarity and a half inch of dishwater white foam resting on top. The aroma is of light malt, German bittering hops, and corn. I'm tasting plenty of light malt, corn, and German bittering hops. The mouth is very light and quaffable.

My wife picked up a bottle of this brew for me. It has a bottled on date of 8/3/16. The appearance is of an utterly clear golden liquid, topped with a brilliantly white head. The head isn't particularly long-lasting, however, and soon falls into thin whips. The aroma has some Germany hop notes, a little grain and grass, and an underlying malt sweet scent. Taste is clean and balanced, maybe semi-dry. Light, clean malt in the finish and medium in body. Nice.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden color with a fizzy, small, white head of foam. It smelled of caramel, toast and floral notes. Nice and sweet with caramel and toffee. Very little bitterness.
