Poured from the tap a clear golden yellow with two fingers of sticky white head.

Aroma of orange citrus, honey and malty grains.

Tastes of malty grains and orange citrus and herbal hops. Finishes clean.

Moderate body, sticky and lightly carbonated.

This is one tasty APA from the folks at Schlafly. Very sessionable and so very enjoyable.

A - pours afiltered yellow with a one finger head

S - smells of bready malts with some fruity hops

T - starts with the bready malts that is balanced by some fruity spicy hops (pineapple predOminantly). Pretty good little ale here. Goes down rather smoothly taboot.

D - pretty good pale ale here. I really enjoyed the citra hops and I hope to see more of these single hop beers in the future.

Enjoyed out of a Kilderkin @ Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood (St. Louis), MO. They said this was the only Kilderskin in the country! Served into a 12 oz Schlafly cup and had 2 back to back before it was all gone. Also, they added Citra Hops into the cask (different from any other batches of this APA).

Appearance- Pours a VERY hazy white/orange color, almost like a Belgian White. 2 fingers of head and foamy with many bubbles. Has grew retention and left a nice amount of lace.

Smell- The scent is an extreme amount of grapefruit and can definitely smell the citra hops upfront. Very floral smell as well.

Taste- Starts with a citrus hop flavor and turns bitter very soon afterwards. These fruit flavored hops make up this ale and keep the sweetness the main focus for this once brewed APA. Very nice!

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Huge carbonation, and fresh tasting. Dry hopped and is contributed to the bitter finish.

Overall- I am very lucky to have had this ale during the End of Prohibition Festival. They will not be brewing a batch like this again they said. Very complexed and the Citra Hops added a great component to the ale. Will be waiting to have the APA once again in bottle and see the differences between these two. Very nice! Could drink more than 2 but the availability was limited.

A - Poured out a slightly hazy, golden orange color with a soapy, off-white head of creamy foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass.

S - It smelled of citrus and tropical fruits with a very floral nose. Some sweet caramel, too.

T - Good sweet caramel flavors with a tart citrus bite. A touch of pine in the bitter hop bite.

M - It was soft, smooth and creamy. A medium bodied ale with a dry finish.

O - Outstanding on cask. Really tasty single hop APA.

Pours a hazy, golden/yellow color. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of citrus hops, slight floral hops, hint of sweet malt, slight wet hop, and strong citrus (orange/grapefruit). Fits the style of an American Pale Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, slight sweet malt, citrus, slight wet hop, and hint of floral hops. A good blend, body, appearance, and mouth feel.
