Pours a blood red color with the edges being lighter than the middle body. There was virtually no head, no skim on this beer, and no lace left behind. The aroma was of sweet red raspberries, the smell was faint and more along the lines of an actually raspberry as opposed to a candied smell. The taste was very sweet, a big sweet red raspberry flavor as well as a candied sweetness. The taste did not have the tartness of others in this class. The mouthfeel had low carbonation and was a little bit slick. Overall it was a solid beer, the taste was good and you could easily drink a lot of these. The sweetness might get you after a while.
