Caramel, dark fruit malt character, lingering malty sweetness, fruity esters and a complex alcohol aromas and flavors, coexist harmoniously in this Barleywine. Nostalgia is conditioned in American medium oak along with strong alcohol, malt complexity and American hop varieties. With a long lasting finish that will not fade away with every sip, we recommend you to relax, enjoy and reflect on the great people and things we have and share in life. Pair this complex creation with post-main dishes or along with dessert. Tres Leches, Flan and Vanilla Ice cream will enhance the palate experience as well as any bold cheeses.

750ml capped/foiled bottle served in a little tulip-ish glass. Dated 11/23, batch #212/2. @beergoot sent it my way.
Pours a murky caramel-toffee color with a fairly large, dense, tan head, not a lot of active carbonation. Smell is wood, bark, dates, toffee.
Taste is on the Bigfoot bitter side -- bark and earthy bitterness, with some burnt toffee and molasses sweetness, some woodiness. But bitterness is the dominant characteristic.
Mouthfeel is thick, slightly effervescent, a little chewy. Overall -- if you like Bigfoot, this will probably appeal to you. If you don't, it probably won't. I like it.

Pours a clear, dark amber color; deeper mahogany color in the glass; sparse carbonation; initially thick, frothy, light khaki colored head, densely sudsy, settles to a nice, long lasting cap about one-finger thick; sticky partial rings of foam inside the glass. Very mild aroma; malty with an extremely soft and delicate caramel quality; wisp of spiciness. Respectable barleywine taste; malty with a rye-like spiciness; moderate bitterness; phenol aftertaste; lightly boozy. Heavy body; generally thick and smooth; a touch of alcohol warmth and dryness.
A fair barleywine, hitting most style points yet rather mundane. Nice boozy kick, though.
