Fairly dark nutty brown body, very clear, shot through with garnet highlights. Good head production and OK retention.

Sweet and malty nose: prune, nuts, dark bread, cola, rye, brown sugar, toffee. Really quite pleasant.

Crisp, lively, very drinkable; a touch oily. Surprisingly long and wet finish.

Tasting notes match the nose fairly well, but much grainier and less sweet - not unpleasantly so. Dark bread and grains, cola, prune, nuts, bark, leather, pepper, and just a touch of brown sugar. Just a bit of earthiness.

(16 oz can, canned on: 03/06/2023; picked up in swap with The_Kriek_Freak... poured into my Belhaven pub pint)

L: mostly-clear, medium-amber near-tawny hued liquid... good bit of foam on the pour, collapsing to a crated, bubbly cap... little head retention, but my glass turned out not be spotless

S: top notes: black tea, clove, hazelnut cookie, with perhaps a delicate undertone of juniper bark & needles... earthy and a touch leathery... relatively excellent expression and interesting depth

T: more of a round caramel-kissed, bready malt emerges upon first sip, with perhaps a subtle touch of leafy maple syrup, cedar(?) woodiness... the near-peppery herbality is growing on me, a lovely bitter brushfire atop a dry, nutty, 'brown' malt foundation that I wish had just a touch more sweetness to add more depth and contrast; but dry and herbal is quite fine

F: light-bodied, but with a soft oily texture, moderately slow, silky drag in its finish... bitterness carries a moderately sharp, herbal bite, while also providing (with the alcohol) a mellow menthol coolness

O: very much in my wheelhouse with its herbal and bitter characters, as well as its dry, moreishness... I'll echo the sentiment of another reviewer saying this would be intriguing on cask (2125)

Collaboration with Forest & Main

On draft at Human Robot Jenkintown location, served in mug

a little cloudy, dark copper in color, thick cream colored head. Aroma and taste are heavy on tea, biscuit malt. Similar taste, drier finish. Smooth feel.

Hazy copper-brown with a half finger of creamy-looking light tan head. Poor retention, but nice lacing.

Comforting aroma of black tea, autumn leaves and distant coffee.

Unsweetened iced tea dominates the taste, with hints of carbon dioxide, leather and a slight metallic note, rounded out again by some lingering mild tea-like bitterness.

Medium bodied with prickly carbonation.

Very solid. I had it on draft, and enjoyed it enough to get a four-pack. Only thing better would be on the hand pump at Forest & Main.
