Brewed with 100% German Pils malt and Spalt hops. We upped the hopping rate to let these noble beauties shine. Wild growing hops replaced Gruit as the preservative and flavor component in beer in the 1500’s to skirt the taxes levied on the gruit by the church as a ritual herb.

From a 16oz can, canned on 02/12/2025

The pour is slightly murky looking and golden in color. There was a 1 finger white head on the beer. There's a bit of lacing on the glass.
The aroma is pleasing with floral and grain notes.
Taste - nice floral flavor up front. The hint of grain comes later on. Slight honts of sweetness come into play. There's a hint of bitterness that also hits on the back.
The body seems damn good for the style. There's a smoothness to the feeling.
Tasty and fun to drink.

Poured from a tap to nearly fill a clear pint glass, it looks like a good Pilsner should. Its color is brightly light golden-amber and there's a proper stark white head of about one half-inch thickness on top. The liquid is far more translucent than opaque, along that register. It smells at least as good as it looks, with plenty of German Pils malt to be had. The Spalt hops hang right in there with the malt. It doesn't taste as boldly as it smells, but there is enough there to make this a good one. The hops bite just a little more than some in the German style and that almost nut-like sweetness you get from some is nearly absent until it warms. Still this is a fine Pilsner. Its glass lacing is well above average and indicates the quality of the mouthfeel. This is completely satisfactory for what it is.

Pale yellow, lightly hazed, with two fat fingers of dense, off-white head. Strong retention and clumpy lacing.

A touch of dough, a touch of lemon and maybe a hint of sulfur in the nose. Generally a bit softer around the edges than I expect from a German pils.

The taste is fairly similar with some light , lemony sweetness on the front end and even lighter bitterness in the finish.

Light to medium bodied with a very strong zippiness from the carbonation, which adds to the taste.

Inoffensive and very drinkable—other than the carbonation leaving me belching. Not quite as dialed in as some of their others.

16 oz can

pours a brilliantly clear bright golden in color, thick white head. good head retention and lacing. pilsner malt aroma with a pleasant touch of spicy floral hops. Similar taste, nice crisp dry slightly bitter finish. body is thinner but has a nice soft finish to the mouthfeel. Overall very drinkable and balanced and I am digging this one very much
