FORM “EXTRA” | TABLE LAGER | 4%
Collaboration with Fermentary FORM - A supremely drinkable lager. We started with a scaled down version of the recipe for FORM extra ran a single decoction mash and sent the wort through our lager cellar Vienna, wheat and pils malts combine with Styrian and tast Ken goldings hops. A single, early hop addition keeps the beer dry, and the malt combination is subdued in just the right way.

16oz can purchased directly from the brewery as a 4-pack for $16. Canned on 06/20/2025, so this is only ten days old!
Look: Light golden color, nice carbonation with a plethora of small bubbles rising up the glass in unison. There was about two fingers of white head that dissipated to almost nothing. Nice clarity. After pouring the bottom of the can, it gained a soft haze.
Smell: As soon as I cracked open the can, I noticed a very pleasant lemony smell that came through. It has different layers of lemony - lemon zest, lemon pith, floral lemon notes. The nose has a crispness and minerality to it. I also get a bit of pepperiness and a nice crackery malt base. There's almost a creaminess to the nose that's very interesting.
Taste: It's really good. Very tasty and good flavor for being only 4% ABV. It is what it says it is - a Light Lager - yet I think that this beer has been appropriately categorized as an American Lager. The finish has a moderate bitterness with grassy and herbal notes that lingers fairly long and it is a very dry, quaffable beer. This is the kind of beer that you could easily drink and not think much about, or you could also effortlessly appreciate the subtle nuances within and contemplate it a lot.
Feel: Carbonation is spot on. The beer is light to medium bodied. It holds its own for being only 4% ABV. Surprisingly, it doesn't taste watery at all.
Overall: It's one of the best "light lagers" I have had. Really good, and it's to be expected coming from a collaboration between Human Robot and Fermentery Form. It is a very nice table beer indeed - this is the kind of beer where you want to eat your food with it, as opposed to this is the kind of beer that you need to eat food with it in order to make it somewhat palatable.

Clear gold with a large off white head with great retention and heavy lacing. Light grass and grain in the nose. Heavily bitter tasting. Medium bodied and effervescent. Solid, but a bit more bitter than I prefer.
