West Coast Pils - Brewed with all the things we want the most. A single decocted pils hopped with Mittlefru, Cascade and Motueka, then dry hopped with Cascade, Pink, Citra and more Motueka. Subdued and refreshing, with just enough dry hop punch.

Hazed pale gold with a large airy near white head. Good retention and soapy lacing. Grass, nectarines and a touch of lime all pop in the aroma and taste. Light bodied with modest carbonation. Tasty.

16oz can purchased directly from the brewery from the fridge as a 4-pack for $17. Canned on 06/30/2025, so it's just three and half weeks old.
Look: Pale straw colored beer with a faint haze. There was a finger of rocky whitish head that dissipated to almost nothing. Lots of tiny bubbles rising up the glass.
Smell: Nice bright aromas of citrus and tropical fruit. I'm getting juicy orange, gooseberry, peach, and lime zest on the finish. Green bell pepper notes on the finish after swirling the glass. Smells very nice and refreshing.
Taste: It's very refreshing. Up front, it's bright and a bit juicy with some crackery malt elements in the background. The finish is pretty dry and lime zesty/pithy with a mild to moderate bitterness that lingers for a little while. Grapefruit zest and pith notes also. Did I say that it's refreshing? Yeah, this is a good warm weather beer. It's pretty hot on this Summer day, so this is hitting the spot.
Feel: It's on the lighter side of medium-bodied. Nicely carbonated for its style.
Overall: It's an interesting West Coast Pilsner. Given how I have rated beers from this style, I have liked all the ones that I have tried and it's hard to find score differentiation. There's just something about this beer in particular that feels a bit weird to me because this beer really does not taste like a Pilsner at all. Nevertheless, it is tasty and I enjoy it.
