Strong and appealingly dank nose and tropical fruit. Some heat on the finish from the high abv. Very nice overall.

Sweet tropical hoppy, white wine grape, slightly malty, and a nice Nelson-dank nose on this one! Taste follows with some sweet mosaic-dankness upfront...and then an orange-grapefruit citrus bitter swallow. Yum! As it warms, a more prominent grapefruit citrus bitterness starts to dominate the backend...this is so well done and the ABV is so well-hidden that this is a forgivable sin! LOL! Great mouthfeel and depth on this one...Fidens is killing it!

Canned on 2/14/22; consumed on 3/9/22
Pours a turbid, dark milky peach-gold body capped with just over a finger of dense, fluffy, white foam; solid head retention yields a paper-thin veil of cap, a slight, frothy collar, and a generous, uniform spatter of spotty lacing strewn across the walls of the glass.
Aroma opens to glossy resins accentuated with passionfruit and bright citrus, peaking with candied lime over the middle and sensations of boggy wheat into dank white grape on the back end as tangerine pulp gives a hearty, tropical lingering to the close.
Taste brings candied lime peel into waxy red grapefruit and a boggy white grape character evolving across the mid-palate; creamy mango and underripe apricot mark the back end, while freshly juiced passionfruit accentuate a tropical twang on the finish.
Mouthfeel features a medium body with moderate carbonation, a creamy texture building to a pseudo-hop twang glossing over prickly background bitterness over the mid-palate, increasingly resinous as a juicy overlay peaks into the back end.
The choopier aggression of a TIPA finds a Fidens flow of creamy resins and ample depth in hop texture, overcoming brief pangs of coarser characteristics to produce yet another largely successful take on the style from this brewery.
