Farmhouse Blonde w/Black Tea, Tapioca & Taro Root - 5.4% abv - Bubble tea-inspired farmhouse-style ale, 100% fermented with Brettanomyces. Notes of black tea, nutty taro, minerality and wine-like, fruit-forward brett complexity. Light body, silky mouthfeel; finishes soft with a hint of residual sweetness.

Bottle from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours a mostly clear light amber gold with a finger of fluffy white head, nice lacing, smell is floral vanilla, tapioca, funky wheat, fermented grass, dark tea, hints of dark dried fruit and red grape pomace, taste is earthy/nutty taro, herbal tea, tapioca, vanilla, maraschino cherry, hints of red wine, sweet potato and browns celery soda, finishes with cherry hard candy, feel is medium bodied, velvety smooth, minimal carbonation. A complex and perplexing bubble tea beer that far surpassed my expectations. Yams.
