Foeder-fermented Rye Saison brewed with a 50/50 base of malted rye and NY-state pilsner malt, layered with a touch of red rye crystal malt for complexity, hopped generously with Zuper Saaz and Motueka.
This beer was fermented warm in one of our American Oak Foeders with our house clean saison blend. We allowed it to mature in oak then transferred the beer to stainless where it was hopped again Zuper Saaz, and Motueka.
This beer is bone dry but beautifully spicy and complex. We’re tasting fresh cracked pepper, bright, pithy lime zest, melon, pear, and the last grass clippings of the season.

Can from Vinyl Beer on the UES. Pours opaque orange amber with a finger of bubbly white head that lingers, decent lacing, smell is spicy funky grass and lemon lime zest, biscuity malts, hints of floral honey and sunscreen, taste is funky and grassy lemon hard candy, rose water, rose petal, orange blossom honey, and mildly spicy rye, hints of sweet doughy malts and cantaloupe, feel is medium to full bodied, bright carbonation. A sweet and spicy floral treat.
