This is a beautiful beer but the smell and taste are underwhelming.
Poured from a can purchased at a nice beer shop in Austin. Poured into a tulip glass. Hazy light yellow color with with a magnificent white head and beautiful curtain lacing. The ginger, fruity smell is there but there is something a little off putting about the smell and taste. Taste is fine one in your mouth. Nice feel, probably not a repeater.

Released 6/24/23; drank 8/9/23 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy dull yellow/orange appearance.
An even pour yielded a HUGE bright white head; frothy lacing remained.
Lime, ginger & mango notes in the nose, with faint clove as well.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
Ginger, mango, lime, yep...all the stuff they added is there, with a hint of wood dryness & some clove as well.
Not my flavor profile, really; I'd prefer a regular ol' Saison without the funny stuff any day, but it's not bad. Just not one I'll reach for again.

From the can: A Foeder Saison, with mango, ginger and lime.
A: Pours a hazy yellow color. A dense white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: A mixture of cereal grains, ginger spice and lime. I don't get much on any yeast derived aromas here.
T: At first cracker, and cereal grains, that leads to the flavor additives. Spicy ginger and lime mostly. Becomes a bit soapy. Would like more of a true yeast character, and ramping up the hops just a bit wouldn't hurt either.
M/O: A medium body, with a slicker feel than I would like. Could be more crisp IMO. Not particularly hard to drink, if you don't think of this as a Saison.
Overall, a little let down with this. The flavor additives are the show, without any unique Saison character. I'm not completely against using flavor additives in this way, and while its not over powering or unbalanced in that regard. It could still use a bit more actual Saison characteristics. As is more of just a "spiced/fruit" beer. Decent enough in that regard, but can't say I'll be looking to come back to this one soon.
