Poured nitro style from the can, straight down the glass, producing a brilliant golden brown body, slowly cascading to create a fluffy head, with lots of lacing as the beer is drank.
This smells very bready and biscuity, with some bitter black tea and hop spice on the nose.
This is legitimately one of the best beers I’ve had this year. It’s not that I don’t like bitters, but it’s just surprising that one of the beers that most blew me away was such a simple unassuming style. The nitro presentation is just jaw droppingly perfect for this one, adding heft to the body and some imaginary sweetness. It’s so bready and deliciously malty, like a toasted biscuit drizzled with honey, maybe some pumpernickel bread, and a touch of chocolate. There’s a hint of oak that helps round the beer out. The hop character is spot on too, and presents itself on the finish with some spicy tea-like hop character, and a bit of grassy spice.
This is super creamy, and super, super drinkable, with a smooth finish.
This really is one of the best beers I’ve ever had – and easily the best beer in this style that I’ve had.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
