Tasted on tap at the Souther Roots Waco taproom.

Medium to dark gold color; clear. White head of gloriously fine bubbles that permanently cling to the glass.

Aromas of herbal, spicy hops and cracked grain. Fresh, spicy hop flavors over a low graininess, with a hint of Belgian yeast character.

Medium body with creamy carbonation and a dry finish that lets some hops burst out late in the palate. Moderate to strong bitterness, but not overdone for the style.

This is a simple, straightforward saison that hits all the right notes but stays approachable and quaffable. Plus, it was excellent alongside the brewery's craft pizza. I highly recommend it!
