This one is a special Collab years in the making with our good friends at Free Will Brewing Co. Vida Lima is a summer crusher, light and balanced with a hint of lime. This Mexican Lager is sure to hold its own on any golf course, pool deck or sandy beach all summer long.

Canned on: ??????
Thx to Knapp85 for this can.
A - Light gold colored pour with a slight bit of haze and a thin, soapy white layer floating on top.
S - Somewhat grainy aroma with a counterbalancing shot of lime and citrus on the nose. It actually smells quite inviting, especially on a hot day like today.
T - Follows the nose with a base layer of grainy malt throughout and pokes through on the back end. Meanwhile, the lime and citrus crash in over the top almost immediately to squelch the grain. Ends with a slight sharp bitterness shot and then coats the mouth with a long lingering grainy lime layer.
M - Medium body with prickly carbonation and leaves a dry spot on the tongue while the rest of the mouth waters.
O - McCall nailed the style.

3+ fingers of head = clumsy pour on my part? Probably; I can't do anything right this week. Anyway, it takes its time receding, leaving spotty gobs of lace in its wake. I gotta think of a new way to describe that. On the nose front, I mostly just get (I think) lager yeast, with a hint of citrus. Maybe a little grain. It's agreeable enough. A little more citrus on the tongue, but I think this may be past it's peak. Or something. I dunno; the citrus doesn't play as well with this particular Mexican lager as it would with most. Maybe they used concentrate? I doubt it. It's not bad at all, mind, just a little flat. Not in a carbonation sense (that is on point), just flavor-wise. Gets a little better as I get deeper into the glass. Finishes super dry. That's all I got.
