An interesting dark brew. Its darkness does not invent a new style as Feathers & Frost still fits the saison rubric.
But first, a parenthetical remark: I've drank all three of Brewer's Kitchen's saisons on BA and all three of their wits.
So, I feel I know this Kitchen well. And I am a fan of Pilot Project's incubation process.
Drank on tap at Beermiscuous Lincoln Park, F&F would have been more enjoyable closer to room temperature. While it Looked pretty and dark in the glass and had good enough foam, Smells were moderate; malts were producing dark fruits, and herbs were in the background. Tastes were similar and balanced. A medium-mouthed, cleansing winter brew.
What meals would I pair with F&F ? (And if they don't can it, I may never test.) But it is fair to suppose that F&F will pair with winter stews and soups and, of course, heavy breads. Salud !
