UnTappd styled Friar Bok as a traditional Bock and I agree... the caveat being there is more fruity-ness going on than usually found in a lager. (UnTappd only has 4 ratings at the time of my adding this beer... so us BA-ers are ahead of ourselves.)
Pouring Friar into my St. Feuillien's goblet, it Looks above average and has a thoughtful label. And so are its Smells; me being a Belgo-phile who likes fruity malts. Tastes are balanced, but less lager-like clean. Sits medium-mouthed. Fine with simple a food of broccoli and a mustard/mayo sauce.
This is now my third Dutchbag. (The other two were saisons... and Bok's yeast makes it reminiscent.) Anyhow... I like how Duneyrr is acting like a brewing incubator without calling it such. I wish them both well and really should visit their taproom ... but probably won't because that is something I rarely do any more. All the same, Cheers !

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
