Drank at the Oak Park Micro-Review, Burn Out is a collaboration with 93 Octane in neighboring St. Charles. (Good to see these infant micros playing so nice together.) Burn Out has 113 ratings on Untappd; so already has stood the test of time!
Burn Out is very close to the style that the Bamberg masters started and very few crafters since have been able to approach. While Burn Out is blonder than the classic amber, it has tone and foam above average. Smells are mostly malt and smoked. Tastes follow closely and finish drier than I expected; indicating balance. Medium-mouthed. I'm giving unusually high Overall hugs for this collaboration and for staying alive in an increasingly competitive market in suburban Fox Valley.
As for my micro-review of Brother Chimp... This unusual fact was on their website's About page: "We opened the day before the world went on hold – March 16, 2020." And the Chimp survived. Their taproom also lists 4 collabs and they have several events a week, creating a community hang-out. So for all that for a two year old, they deserve High Overall Hugs.

Had on tap. Murky goldenrod body, white ring. Smell and taste both have great campfire smoke right away, but there is much else behind it. The taste has a little grain I guess. Feel is light but big time smoky yet smooth, really gets that outdoor fire complexion going.
