Petite saison brewed with wheat, oats, barley, and fermented with our magical mixed culture. Funky and tart with a soft body and dry finish. A celebration of natures lushness.

750ml bottle served in a pair of snulips. Bought it at the brewery last weekend. Doesn't have a date, but it's marked batch #1.

Foams over on the open, though not exactly a gusher -- more of a slow and lazy overflow. Pours lightly hazy, light yellow. Despite the foamover, head is pretty small, though there is plenty of carbonation. Thick ring is sustained around the side of the glass. Smell is mild lemon sweet-tartness, floral, some grassiness.

Taste is much more aggressive than the aroma. Tartness is more acidic, sweetness is not gone but is drowned out. Not an acid bomb, though. Floral notes are still there, grass seems to be replaced by something a bit more green wood like.

Mouthfeel is pretty clean, slight effervescence, pretty light bodied. Overall, it's a nice, enjoyable beer.

Poured from 750mL bottle into my BeerAdvocate teku. Batch #01.

Appearance: shimmery light silvery-golden hue with a light haze and a good effervescence. Head is a finger of frothy white foam with reasonable retention.

Smell: nicely malty with a big of sweetness and a bit of tartness. There's a vinous quality here; it's funky but not overpowering, and I like it.

Taste: moderate tartness with a nice oaty, wheaty flavor, and just a hint of funk. It has a very subtle complexity that is quite nice, and flavorful indeed for a 4.3% beer.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a really big carbonation and a big, though ephemeral, creaminess.

Overall: this is a darn good beer. One could argue grisettes aren't necessarily supposed to be tart, but this is an interesting and tasty beer, and eminently drinkable.

She pours a glowing, hazy straw gold. A finder of effervescent head rises and recedes quickly to a thin white ring. No lacing, but plenty of streaming carbonation. This beer heavily resembles a fine champagne. Nose is tart citrus, pepper, some earthy herbal notes, and hay. Taste follows suit with an excellent subtle funky flavor on the finish. Feel is crisp and refreshing with a tart finish. Overall, an easy 3.75/5. Well above average.
