Dark chocolate malty, figs and dark fruits, hint of banana, and a bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with some chocolate covered caramel notes upfront...and then an oaky, chocolate roasty bitter, and bourbon barrel boozy finish. This leans more stout than quad IMO...even though you start to get more of the quad influence as it warms. This has a nice mouthfeel to it. Pretty good...

2022 vintage; consumed on 12/28/2022
Pours a velvety, motor-oil hue capped with nearly two fingers of rich, creamy, deep khaki foam; decent head retention leaves the occasional island of paper-thin cap, lush, expansive collar, and minimal-no lacing holding to the walls of the glass.
Aromas open to bakers chocolate and banana bread accents atop a pillowy roast; bourbon waves oak and vanilla residuals over time into lightly smoked toffee creme rounding out a rich malt presence.
Taste brings caramel and subtle raisin upfront into a milk chocolate mid-palate, with flambéed banana lingering and rounded wisps of oak developing into cocoa toward the finish.
Mouthfeel shows a medium body with a moderate-full frothing of carbonation; silky deftness guides the mid-palate to a back end creaminess, slightly sticky as a calm warmth lingers.
An exceedingly cohesive blend welcoming the the richer yeastiness of a Belgian Quad to the refined malt roast of an imperial stout and topped with a deft barrel kiss; another masterclass in blending from Private Press.

Whoa. Thanks, Chris and Cassidy.
The nose is just gorgeous, a rich blend of toasty, fruity, licorice heavy imperial stout tempered by a spicy, dark fruit rich quad, robust with dark honey and brown sugar and rich bourbon. The layers, balance and depth here are just breathtaking. The palate opens with a blend that's heavy towards the imperial stout with just enough quad to tastefully and thoughtfully complement the fruit notes of the yeast. Full in body, soft , creamy, sweet with a long finish, this is beautiful.

This one pours a mostly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like rich dark chocolate, raisin, cedar, oak, inky espresso, vanilla, and light toasted breadiness.
This certainly leans more BA stout than BA quad, but that touch of raisin and breadiness on the finish as it warms shows that the quadruple is definitely somewhere in there. There’s lots of dark chocolate here, with a touch of barrel vanilla, spicy and woody oak, and some coffee like flavors.
This is medium bodied, with no real booze, and a nice smoothly creamy finish.
This would have been excellent if it was just a blend of barrel aged stouts, but the threads of Ripple in Time in there added some nice touches.

A: Carafe presents a natural distribution of CO2 that’s swift in managing recession. The color palette to the neck is chamoisee, which thins gradually on retention with a sticky glass curtailment. Accompanied by, a body that decants to gunmetal aside a warm black shade, while secretions ripen a burgundy curve to further decant. Legs come in a fine-grained passing during the constructive controls, of timekeeping and centigrade likeness
S: A light hop presence against the idling esters, as malt orientates aside the barrel crescendos. The start encompasses the components of Patalaku, while surfacing ripe prunes over a fig & date jam, before encapsulating wood-fired raisins. Malt proceeds on warm doughy agilities, as the cask awareness sharpens those oaked vanillin chords. In view of that, deep barrel inferences in smooth – tepid – elevations, which push complex polymers over the rich workings. Coupled with, a touch of peppery phenols that aid a resin-y hop effect, when implying forest leaves to bark residues. The transition on time & temperature favor those distant sherry notes on walnuts, while addressing port bugs over lambskin, amid a molasses coat that’s thickly spirted
T: Planked oak on the timbered hop possessions, besides smooth malt advances against barreling heat. Early insinuations on chocolate to compote makeups, as Chunky(s) gets implied near old-time Tootsie Rolls. There is a Griotten resemblance with brown sugar dregs, and a cue for melting Klondikes, while oak strengthens the vanillin compounds. Sequentially, a heavy wooded kick aside backcuts to concentration yards, as esters loiter over an ethyl acetate runner. A smooth rise sustains near Colston buns that touch on currants, figs, and lush myrobalan plums, where the minimal quad facets denote. All the while, an earthiness to suggest a light Ethiopian roast atop barrel staves, as hops curtail the malts clement adhesiveness. The movement addresses long-stemmed clay pipes to ancient museum pieces, but requires more age with aeration, where oxidized nuts shine. Nonetheless, developments cover a caprylate & caproate kindness, and promote a caramelized spread on applesauce to affix assorted – dry – fruits, while conveying vineyards thru smoke taint. The measures on Fahrenheit divulge heat against furnaces to smoking chimneys, amid burning houses, just as tarry notes fall upon pitted cherries. Thereafter, a loitering note for Moscatel along fumed planks, and Barking Iron instruments, where tannin encapsulates the natures
M: Sharply clean feel with a timed smoothness on alleviated carbonation. There’s a hop bite to harmonize at the appropriate time amongst the soft roast derivatives, where tannin fundamentals coexist in a pleasant manner. Moreover, a warming inclination to neighbor the embraced conditions along airing, given the dry rudiments that flank the oxidized rears on residues
O: Subtle quad provocations on dark fruits, where esters accompany a softened phenol estate, as woodsy hops loiter. The framework is rich on malt with smooth barrel inferences, for oak readings on the involved developments, which cleverly addresses the byproducts concerning versatile lignins
